ABOUT HKBA

Hypnokink Bay Area is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fun, pants-on educational and social events for people interested in hypnosis. All our events take place in person in San Francisco.

Our Values:

• Hypnokink, like all kink, can and should be done only between enthusiastically consenting parties. Consent is mandatory!

• Hypnosis is a craft, which is improved by regular practice among others honing their craft. 

• Hypnokink play is best when one is deeply connected to one’s partner(s.) Therefore hypnosis education should include both technical skillbuilding and content related to connection and being present.

• Hypnokink play doesn’t have to include any particular trope or pattern. We encourage hypnokinksters to be creative and experiment to find what works for them.

• Hypnokink does not require sex, eroticism, romance, or power exchange. Play without any of these elements is equally as special, valuable, and “real” as play with one or more.

• We aim to combat stereotype and misinformation about hypnosis, and share the full breadth of what hypnosis is and how it can be used in a recreational context.

HKBA was founded in 2023 by Resonate and MindTop.  

​

MindTop (aka Cabel, he/him), has been teaching hypnosis on and off in the Bay Area and New Mexico for almost a decade now. He is attracted to con-non-con, memory play, and coercion. During his free time, you can find him playing board games, learning to cook, and exploring the city.

Resonate (she/her) was introduced to hypnokink in 2017 and immediately realized she'd been doing it her whole life. She is a hypno-switch who tends toward artistic, weird, challenging, and joyful play, with a special interest in power exchange between players of equal status.
